Lisbon, Portugal

We had three nights in Lisbon which was a good amount of time to explore the city. Our hostel was in the centre of the town and was quite amazing, probably the best hostel we will will come across. The food was quite average to start but once we found some good spots we kept returning. Red wine, sangria, olives and tarts were our go to’s. 🍷🍷🌿🌿

The street that our hostel was on – Travellers House Caught the 28 tram up into the old village. We bought a 24 hour transport card so we could jump on and off without having to pay each time.

Wandering the streets of the old village we went to the time out food hall for dinner which is a must do. Basically just a huge room with heaps of different food vendors with the best selection in Lisbon. Super cheap red wine and food. We needed up coming here for three meals in a row we headed out of town a bit to the LX Factory which is a cool industrial style area with cafes, restaurants and bars. Nice to wander around and have a drink. We got stuck into the sangria, olives and bread as per. We caught the train out to the jeronimos monastery for a look around. It was beautiful but probably not worth a trip out there for that alone. Just down the road from the monestery was the home of these delish tarts which made the trip worth it. The cafe sits 400 people and it was packed. The tarts were the best we tried 😋😋
