Granada, Spain

We had three nights in Granada exploring the old town. We spent a heap of time trying to find places to eat but then got told that over summer a lot of the locals head to the coast so most restaurants are closed. We had a good Air BnB so were able to cook the majority of our meals which was nice for a change from eating out.

The days were super hot at about 35 degrees. The highlights were trekking up to the San Nicolas lookout for beautiful views of the Alhambra and the city and a day spent visiting Alhambra.

  1. Mesmerizing place, possibly the best place to live in Europe! Hemingway said it best, and unusually lyrical for him: “How lazily the sun goes down in Granada, it hides beneath the water, it conceals in the Alhambra.”
